Building on its record performance in 2025, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts continued to deliver strong growth across Asia Pacific in the first half of 2026, signing approximately 100 new hotel contracts, opening nearly 60 new hotels or over 8,800 rooms and generating 12% year-over-year net room growth in the region. The strong first-half results reflect the strength of Wyndham’s asset-light franchise model, diversified brand portfolio and continued focus on creating long-term value for owners and stakeholders. In Greater China, Wyndham achieved a record first-half performance with nearly 80 contracts signed representing over 8,600 direct-franchised rooms.

With Asia Pacific continuing to benefit from resilient travel demand and evolving traveller preferences, Wyndham remains focused on expanding across priority markets, including mature gateway cities, emerging destinations and high-growth leisure markets. Supported by global leading platforms, the Wyndham Rewards programme and the OwnerFirst™ philosophy, Wyndham continues to provide owners with the tools and capabilities needed to grow sustainably.

By the end of the first half of 2026, Wyndham operated approximately 950 hotels and 184,000 rooms across Asia Pacific (excluding Super 8 in China), further reinforcing owner confidence in Wyndham’s brands, systems and franchise business model. Earlier this year, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts President & CEO Geoff Ballotti, together with Asia Pacific President Joon Aun OOI, and the Asia Pacific leadership team travelled to New Zealand and Singapore to engage directly with owners and partners, reinforcing Wyndham’s commitment to close collaboration and long-term success across Asia Pacific. The Asia Pacific leadership team also conducted market visits in Mainland China and Malaysia, connecting with local teams, reviewing hotel operations and deepening understanding of market dynamics, brand execution and opportunities for future growth.

“Our first-half performance is a strong reflection of the trust our owners place in Wyndham’s brands, platform and capabilities. Across Asia Pacific, we continue to grow with discipline by expanding our multi-brand portfolio, enhancing our franchise platform and creating new opportunities that deliver long-term value for our stakeholders. As travel preferences continue to evolve, we remain committed to supporting our owners with the scale, distribution and loyalty capabilities needed to capture new opportunities across the region.”

2026 First Half Milestones

During the first half of 2026, Wyndham continued to expand its portfolio across Asia Pacific with several milestone openings that demonstrate the strength and flexibility of its multi-brand strategy.

·            Vienna House by Wyndham Vung Tau Charm Long Hai (Vietnam)

Located in Vung Tau, Vietnam, the upper midscale lifestyle hotel, currently with 960 rooms, marks the first Vienna House by Wyndham in Asia Pacific. The opening expands Wyndham’s lifestyle portfolio in the region and strengthens its presence in Vietnam’s coastal leisure market.

·           Wyndham Garden Manila Bay (the Philippines)

Located in Manila, the 300-room hotel represents the debut of the Wyndham Garden brand in the Philippines. Strategically positioned in the Manila Bay area, the hotel caters to both business and leisure travellers with its accessibility to major commercial, lifestyle and cultural destinations, while contributing to Wyndham’s continued growth in this important Southeast Asian market.

·           Days Inn by Wyndham Chiayi (Taiwan, China)

It marks Days Inn by Wyndham’s first entry into the China Taiwan market. The opening extends the brand’s select-service footprint across Greater China and represents an important step in capturing growing domestic and intra-regional travel demand in the region.

·           Days Hotel by Wyndham Bortala Jinghe (Mainland China)

As the 150th Days Inn by Wyndham hotel in Greater China, the opening marks a major milestone in the brand’s continued scale-up and localization strategy across the region. Nestled at the heart of Jinghe County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the hotel is a one-stop commercial complex with easy access to attractions.

Beyond hotel expansion, Wyndham continued to strengthen its loyalty ecosystem by expanding the value of the Wyndham Rewards program through strategic collaborations and member-focused initiatives. During the first half of 2026, the Wyndham Rewards program expanded member engagement beyond hotel stays through refreshing offerings, from a collaboration with IMAX in China to its first Asia Pacific Wyndham Rewards Experiences activation in partnership with the Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival 2026, happening this October. By introducing an Asia Pacific experience to the global Wyndham Rewards Experiences platform, the initiative gives members worldwide a new way to redeem points while inspiring travel to the region, further enriching the value of the Wyndham Rewards program for international travelers. By connecting points with entertainment, wellness and lifestyle experiences, the Wyndham Rewards program is evolving as a more engaging and rewarding platform for members across the region.

Looking ahead, Wyndham remains committed to advancing its growth ambition across Asia Pacific by leveraging the strength of its brands, technologies and the deep partnerships built across the region. As markets continue to evolve and new opportunities emerge, Wyndham is well-positioned to lead with confidence, deliver lasting value for its stakeholders and further reinforce its role as a trusted hospitality partner across Asia Pacific.
